FROM THE DJ
The greatest concern most people have when looking to hire a DJ is that DJs are notorious for playing whatever music they think is good without regard to the needs of the guests. So let’s begin by putting your mind at ease.
I always put you, your guests and the success of your event first. This is your night and the most important thing is that you and your guests are happy and enjoying themselves. I will assist you in providing a list of music with special requests, likes and dislikes in order too create a party that is uniquely yours. I will only be on the microphone when requested and am able to shift gears in an instant if necessary to keep the event moving at the speed you want. I am familiar with all music genres both past and present, including domestic and international music and have successfully DJ’d for mixed nationality events. I spin every week in a prestigious lounge in Manhattan which keeps me up to date with the latest dance floor trends. I truly enjoy seeing people have a great time and I consider it a privilege to be able to offer my expertise to help make one of the most memorable moments of your life special and amazing.
DJ GREG HANSEN BIO
DJ Greg Hansen has crafted a formidable career that’s kept his appreciative fan base always wanting more, and always having an excuse to stay later.
He has amassed a resume of A-list clients that include private parties for NBC, The Roots, The New York Jets, and many other noteworthy New York City exclusive affairs while also playing for charities, weddings, mitzvahs, and corporate events. He is currently a resident DJ at the “Upstairs” rooftop Lounge of the Kimberly Hotel. DJ Greg Hansen has earned a reputation as an outstanding, professional and tasteful DJ who helps make a good party GREAT.
He keeps his musical preference as uncategorized, thrilling all types of people from all over the world with his unique ability to mix different types of music and connect to everyone no matter the setting. His fans rely on him to create an exciting atmosphere by blending sounds that are hot and on the fore front of music with those that are classic and timeless. DJ Greg Hansen continuously surprises his audience by steering them away from a repetitive melancholic experience and keeping it fresh, always giving people a new reason to get out of their seat and on their feet.
Ironically, for a small town country boy from California, Greg Hansen’s background is firmly international and etched in entertainment. He was named France’s male model of the year, appeared on stage in London’s West End, and was signed by Polygram Europe releasing his first album “Pleasure Taker” shortly thereafter.
But while his extensive all world experience allows for a broad appreciation of unique sounds-n-beats, and a vast selection of music both domestic and international, don’t presume an over-synthesized, hyper-eclectic, brain mash to dominate his set, as the harmony in all his selections is the earthly origins that stir the soul.
If you stop by the “Upstairs” at the Kimberly on the right night or get lucky enough to be invited to an exclusive event where DJ Greg Hansen has been booked, don’t be surprised if you get caught in the web of his spin.
